Remarks : This Trapper 500 has been in the same ownership for 20 years and has been maintained to a high standard, she boasts a Yanmar 2GM engine which was new in 2004 and regularly maintained. She has had a new mainsail from 2021 which has very little use due to the pandemic. The Westerly Griffon is a 26ft (7.9m) 6 berth, 2 cabin GRP sailing sloop, designed by Ed Dubois as a more modern, better-performing replacement for the older Westerly Centaur design. There are not many of these useful little cruisers around now. Very solidly built, a very cheap first weekend cruiser. The high prow keeps her very dry in a seaway and there is a large boat feel down below. Simple reefing when shorthanded with a lot of the power coming from the large genoa, extended with an attractive bowsprit.
