The last surveyor's report from 2009 indicates that this modified fishing vessel (MFV) was constructed in 1976 in Ireland by Killybegs, featuring Carvel planks on sawn Oak timber. The vessel is equipped with a Caterpillar marine diesel engine but the current owners are unsure of the serviceability of the engine as she has been used as a live-aboard vessel for their entire ownership, so they have never needed to run the engine. ORCA is a historic Beurt Motorschip Dutch Barge, built in 1904 by De Groot in Delft. Like many of her kind, Orca was used to transport goods along the intricate network of Dutch canals and rivers, specifically carrying clay for the Delft potteries.
