Mk 3 1953 Ex RAF All aluminium Airborne Lifeboat canal/river boat project. A totally unique craft based on Uffa Fox design and believed to the the only remaining MK3 lifeboat still on the water of only 4 that is left in the world. Decommissioned from service in1956 and converted for riverboat use in early 60s. Rescued from a scrapyard and refitted with new cooker, fridge, electrics, heads, heating and much more. Requires 90% refit internally due to being in out of water storage for 2 years. Many new/unused or untested parts with spares for refit including paints. Powered by 2016 20hp 4 stroke Tohatsu outboard with less than 20 running hrs and 240v onboard generator. Can accommodate 4. Comes with original RAF transport trailer for storage only (not suitable for general towing) Trailer even rarer than boat. Currently in Dartmouth, Devon but best suited for weekend river/canal use. Lots of history and research available.
